Mumbai Unexplored started as an Instagram page for the places algorithms skip — the twelve-table Malvani kitchens, the bakeries older than the buildings around them, the rooftops above fabric shops. It grew because the city is full of people who'd rather find a place than be sent to one.

This site is that page, grown up: a living archive of the Mumbai we keep finding, one neighbourhood at a time.
